Abstract Text The goal of this thesis is to analyze what the potential applications for human-drone collaboration in public entities are, which organizational and procedural consequences the police force is faced with in order to integrate autonomous drones and what challenges arise during a police operation with autonomous drone support. Literature research and interviews with test subjects and police representatives resulted in potential use cases such as assisting the police during police operations, arriving first at a crime scene and providing visual information, helping fire fighters find the source of a fire, enabling rescue teams locate missing people, and many more. Consequences for the police force are the implementation of novel technology, training officers to use it efficiently and having to maintain reputation. Managing communication is the most dominant challenge for the police when operating with an autonomous drone.
Zusammenfassung Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist zu analysieren was die möglichen Anwendungsfälle für eine Mensch-Drohnen Kollaboration in öffentlichen Einrichtungen darstellen können, mit welchen organisatorischen und prozeduralen Konsequenzen sich die Polizei auseinander setzen muss um autonome Drohnen zu integrieren, sowie was die Herausforderungen bei der Unterstützung von autonomen Drohnen im Falle eines Polizeieinsatzes. Literatur Recherche und Auswertungen vom Interviews mit Probanden und Polizisten ergaben mögliche Anwendungsfälle, wie die Unterstützung der Polizei bei Einsätzen um als erstes am Tatort zu sein und Informationen zu liefern, die Hilfe bei Feuerwehreinsätzen um mit visuellen Informationen die Ortung des Brandherdes zu lokalisieren, sowie Rettungskräften zu helfen, vermisste Personen zu orten, und viele weitere. Die Konsequenzen für die Polizei bestehen darin, die neue Technologie in ihr System einzubinden, die Einsatzkräfte zu schulen, als auch den Ruf der Polizei zu bewahren. Die Handhabung der Kommunikation ist die grösste Herausforderung für die Polizei bei der Anwendung von autonomen Drohnen während Polizeieinsätzen.
