Abstract Text The use of information and communication technology (ICT) is changing the interaction with a home environment. These changes affect time, place, frequency, and how they interact with the home. This paper highlights the most common interactions with a home environment and how they are transformed by ICT. The work takes place in three phases: The first phase defines what an interaction with a living environment is and how these interactions can be categorized. In the second phase, the effects of smart home solutions on these interactions are shown in an experiment. The third phase analyzes the data from the experiment, where a conventional residential environment is compared to a smart home. The comparison is made under the aspects of time, place, frequency and their modalities.
Zusammenfassung Der Einsatz von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IKT) fährt zu einer Veränderung der Interaktionen mit einer Wohnumgebung. Diese Veränderungen betreffen Zeit, Ort, Häufigkeit und die Art und Weise der Interaktion mit dem Haus. Diese Arbeit zeigt die häufigsten Interaktionen mit einer Wohnumgebung auf und untersucht wie sich diese durch IKT verändern. Die Arbeit erfolgt in drei Phasen: In der ersten Phase wird definiert was eine Interaktion mit einer Wohnumgebung ist und wie sich diese Interaktionen kategorisieren lassen. In der zweiten Phase werden die Einflüsse von Smart Home Lösungen auf diese Interaktionen in einem Experiment aufgezeigt. Die dritte Phase vergleicht die Daten aus dem Experiment, wo eine konventionelle Wohnumgebung einem Smart Home gegenübergestellt wird. Der Vergleich wird dabei unter den Gesichtspunkten von Zeit, Ort, Häufigkeit und deren Art und Weise gemacht.
