| Abstract Text | In this paper statistical Indicators describing material flows of an economy are explained. Based on these indicators the material flows of Switzerland, various countries of the EU and on a global level are described. Finally, it is discussed whether an absolute decoupling of the economy from the resource use is likely to happen and what the information society can contribute to this. |
| Zusammenfassung | In dieser Arbeit werden statistische Indikatoren zur Beschreibung der Materialflüsse einer Wirtschaft erklärt. Danach werden anhand dieser Indikatoren die Materialflüsse der Schweiz, verschiedener Länder der EU und auf globalem Niveau beschrieben. Zum Schluss wird diskutiert, ob eine absolute Entkoppelung der Wirtschaft von Ressourcenverbrauch wahrscheinlich ist und was die Informationsgesellschaft dazu beitragen kann. |
