| Abstract Text | The goal of this thesis is the creation of a framework for the holistic collection, visualization and analysis of heterogeneous data of IT services. The framework is to enable a systematic, periodic automatic and manual data gathering on the one hand and a „big picture“ visualization of the past and present situation on the other hand. This visualization provides a basis to create group awareness of the current situation and helps to support decisionmaking and coordination in the group. The thesis describes the conceptual design of the framework and a prototypical implementation for a support team of a major swiss bank. The evaluation of the realisation provides insights about the practical adoption of the framework. The concluding evaluation of the findings leads to recommendations for the successful realisation of a comprehensive tool for the holistic collection and visualization of heterogeneous data. |
| Zusammenfassung | Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Erstellung eines Rahmenwerks zur ganzheitlichen Erfassung, Darstellung und Untersuchung von heterogenen Daten von IT Services. Dieses Rahmenwerk soll einerseits eine systematische, regelmässige automatische und manuelle Datenerfassung und andererseits eine „Big Picture“Visualisierung u?ber den vergangenen und gegenwärtigen Zustand ermöglichen. Diese Darstellung dient als entscheidungsunterstu?tzende Kommunikationsgrundlage und zur Schaffung eines gemeinsamen Gruppenbewusstseins u?ber den Zustand von IT Services. Sie unterstu?tzt auf diese Weise die Koordination innerhalb der Gruppe. Die Arbeit beschreibt die konzeptuelle Entwicklung des Rahmenwerks und eine prototypische Implementierung fu?r ein SupportTeam einer schweizerischen Grossbank. Die Evaluation der Umsetzung liefert Erkenntnisse u?ber den praktischen Einsatz des Rahmenwerks. Die abschliessende Bewertung der Erkenntnisse fu?hrt zu Empfehlungen fu?r die erfolgreiche Umsetzung eines umfassenden Hilfsmittels zur ganzheitlichen Erfassung und Darstellung von heterogenen Daten. |
