| Abstract Text | Often mentioned advantages of books written by plural authors and the so called collaborative writing are a view of a subject from several perspectives, a union of often interdisciplinary expertise and the potential production of high-quality publications which appeal to a wide audience. The calibration of di erent writing styles, the contact with a di usion of responsibility, asynchronous often geographically distributed work and possible quarrel and time delay are, nevertheless, the challenges which form the complexitiy of collaborative writing. A study on collaborative writing refered to in this diploma thesis concludes that by means of structured action, better results can be achieved than with a laisser-faire-strategy. The present work evaluates di erent structured action models which can be found in literature about collaborative writing and compares them to the agile methods used in the software development. Based on the results of the evaluation and the ndings of the comparison a new concept is elaborated which is realised with the help of an open source software application. After the completion of this diploma thesis, this software will be used in a project at the department of informatics at the university of Zurich. |
| Zusammenfassung | In der Fachliteratur häufig erwähnte Vorteile der Mehrautorenschaft und des dazu notwendigen kollaborativen Schreibens sind die Betrachtung eines Sachgebietes aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln, die Vereinigung von oftmals interdisziplinärem Fachwissen und die potentielle Erzeugung von qualitativ hochwertigen Publikationen, welche ein breites Zielpublikum ansprechen. Auf der anderen Seite bilden jedoch die Abgleichung unterschiedlicher Schreibstile, der Umgang mit einer Diffusion von Verantwortlichkeit, asynchrones oftmals geographisch verteiltes Arbeiten und möglicher Streit und Zeitverlust einige der Herausforderungen, welche die Komplexität von kollaborativem Schreiben ausmachen. Eine Studie, auf welche in der Arbeit Bezug genommen wird, kommt zum Schluss, dass sich mittels strukturierten Vorgehens beim kollaborativen Schreiben bessere Ergebnisse erzielen lassen als mit einer Laisser-faire-Strategie. Die vorliegende Arbeit evaluiert verschiedene in der Fachliteratur zu findende strukturierte Vorgehensmodelle der Mehrautorenschaft und vergleicht sie mit den in der Softwareentwicklung verwendeten agilen Methoden. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen der Evaluation und des Vergleichs wird ein neues Konzept erarbeitet, welches mit Hilfe einer Open Source-Softwareanwendung realisiert und im Anschluss an die Diplomarbeit in einem Projekt am Institut für Informatik der Universität Zürich erprobt werden wird. |
