Abstract Text Health care outcomes result from patients adherence to treatment. Effective patient-physician communication supported by modern in- formation systems are expected to enhance adherence to treatment. Including the concepts of patient empowerment and shared decision making, a conceptual design for the app Digital Companion was created. By analysing a dataset of 66 interview transcripts, the functional and non-functional requirements for the app were defined and a front- and back-end design was developed. In interviews with physicians and patients, the design idea was evaluated for further design science researches.
Zusammenfassung Adhärenz beeinflusst die Ergebnisse der Gesundheitsversorgung. Es gilt die Annahme, dass die Patienten-Ärzte Kommunikation, unterstützt durch moderne informations Technologien, die Adhärenz eines Patienten erhöht. Durch die Einbindung der Konzepte der Patientenermächtigung und der gemeinsamen Entscheidungsfindung wurde ein erstes Konzept für die App Digital Companion erstellt. Ein Datensatz von 66 Interviewprotokolle wurde analysiert, um die funktionalen und nicht-funktionalen Anforderung für die App zu definieren und ein Front- und Back-End Design zu entwickeln. In weiteren Interviews mit Patienten und Ärzten, wurde das erstellte Konzept evaluiert, um die zukünftigen Forschungsprojekte zu unterstützen.
