Abstract Text Crypto Valley is one of the most important blockchain innovation ecosystems. As in other innovation ecosystems, the Crypto Valley has people that play a central role. These people, also called leaders, are an important part of the innovation ecosystem because they have an influence on the decisions and opinions of people in the ecosystem. Therefore, this paper examines how these leaders differentiate and represent each other. For this purpose, Twitter profiles and publications on fifteen leaders from the Crypto Valley are analyzed. For the analysis, a framework, derived from leadership theories, is presented, which should allow a comparison between the individual actors. The goal of this work is to present a typing that not only describes the leaders of the Crypto Valley, but also applies to other innovation ecosystems in the world.
Zusammenfassung Das Crypto Valley ist eines der bedeutsamsten Blockchain-Innovationsökosysteme. Wie in anderen Innovationsökosystemen gibt es auch im Crypto Valley Persönlichkeiten, welche eine zentrale Rolle einnehmen. Diese Personen, auch Leaders genannt, sind bedeutsamer Bestandteil des Innovationsökosystems, weil sie einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die Entscheidungen und Meinungen der Angehörigen des Ökosystems ausüben. Deshalb wird in dieser Arbeit untersucht, wie sich diese Leaders voneinander unterscheiden und sich selbst darstellen. Dazu werden Twitter-Profile und Publikationen zu 15 Leaders aus dem Crypto Valley analysiert. Für die Analyse wird ein Framework, hergeleitet von Leadership-Theorien, vorgestellt, welches einen Vergleich zwischen den einzelnen Akteuren ermöglichen soll. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es, eine Typisierung zu erstellen, welche nicht nur die Leaders des Crypto Valleys beschreibt, sondern auch für andere Innovationsökosysteme auf der Welt gilt.
