Abstract Text The goal of this bachelor thesis is to improve the usability of the online learning platform OLAT, currently used at the University of Zurich. Three different parts of OLAT version 10 were analyzed in this thesis. Namely the "Course overview" page, the "Course Editor", and the course element task types available in the course editor. The three areas of OLAT were addressed through interviews, survey, heuristic evaluation and prototyping. For the "Course overview" and the "Course Editor" the usability problems that were found are documented. Possible solutions to some of the problems of the "Course Editor" are provided in the form of prototypes and the differences of the task type course elements are elucidated.
Zusammenfassung Das Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist die Benutzerfreundlichkeit der online Lernplattform OLAT, welche zurzeit an der Universität Zürich verwendet wird, zu verbessern. Dafür werden drei unterschiedliche Teile von OLAT Version 10 untersucht, namentlich sind das die "Kursübersicht" Seite, der "Kurseditor" und die Aufgaben-Kursbausteintypen die im "Kurseditor" verfügbar sind. Die drei Teile wurden mit der Hilfe von Interviews, einer Umfrage, heuristischer Evaluation und Prototypen untersucht. Für die "Kursübersicht" und den "Kurseditor" wurden die gefundenen Benutzbarkeitsprobleme in dieser Arbeit dokumentiert. Zusätzlich wurden mögliche Lösungen zu einigen gefundenen Problemen des «Kurseditors» in Form von Prototypen erarbeitet und die Unterschiede der Aufgaben-Kursbausteine erläutert.
