Abstract Text | The goal of this thesis is to analyse a log bucking simulation software and how its algorithm for finding optimal cut sequences could be improved. Problem solving methods as Greedy Algorithm and Dynamic Programming are discussed and then applied to the software. An evaluation of the new implementation with field data was able to show improvements in yield value and runtime performance. |
