| Abstract Text | In our everyday life, we move through different environments and undertake different activities. During some of those moments, we can handle disturbances, in others they become intolerable. Because of this, context sensitive mobile-phones become a potentially important part of our future. This paper presents an experiment, in which a series of sensors was analysed for their capacity to predict the context of a mobile phone on which they were attached to. This test device was then used to record data in real world scenarios, and the accuracy of the resulting predictions was measured. It could be shown that both activities and locations could be detected quite reliably in real world conditions and that certain sensors fare better then others. |
| Zusammenfassung | In unserem Alltag bewegen wir Menschen uns durch verschiedene Umgebungen und führen verschiedene Aktivitäten durch. In manchen können wir Störungen verkraften, in anderen sind diese hinderlich. Aus diesem Grund stellen kontextsensitive Mobiltelefone eine potenziell wichtige Entwicklung für die Zukunft Dar. Dieses Papier stellt ein Experiment Dar, in welchem eine Serie von Sensoren auf deren Fähigkeit hin den Kontext vorherzusehen, untersucht werden. Mittels eines Testgerätes wurden Daten gesammelt und anschliessend wurde die Vorhersagequalität getestet. Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass sowohl Aktivitäten als auch der Aufenthaltsort relativ gut erkannt werden konnten, und dass für diesen Zweck gewisse Sensoren geeigneter sind als andere. Abstract |
