Abstract Text Today, most people heard about Bitcoin in any shape of form, but next to this digital currency, there are many other blockchain projects, also called cryptocurrencies. The number of blockchain projects still increases, however, many of them are not useful and only a handful of the startups will survive in the future like in the dot-com bubble. In this young, yet unregulated market, it is difficult to identify trustworthy blockchain projects as an investor respectively as an entrepreneur, it is hard to present your own project properly. This thesis studies the characteristics of a trustworthy blockchain project. The indicators will be identified through literature and interviews from 10 people, who are experts and have invested in blockchain projects. Finally, the indicators are categorized in fundamentals and soft factors, this list of indicators is for the investor a check list, which the project has to fulfill to be trustworthy. It is also practical for blockchain entrepreneur, who wants to present their own blockchain project properly.
Zusammenfassung Die meisten Leute haben heute über Bitcoin auf irgendeiner Art und Weise gehört, aber neben dieser digitalen Währung, gibt es noch viele andere Blockchain Projekte, sogenannte Kryptowährungen. Die Anzahl der Blockchain Projekte steigt noch immer, aber viele von diesen sind nicht nützlich und nur eine handvoll dieser Startups werden in Zukunft überleben wie bei der Dotcom-Blase. In diesem jungen, noch unreguliertem Markt ist es schwer, vertrauenswürdige Blockchain Projekte zu identifizieren als ein Investor respektive als Unternehmer ist es hart, das eigene Projekt richtig zu präsentieren. Diese Abschlussarbeit untersucht die Charakteristiken eines vertrauenswürdigen Blockchain Projekts. Die Indikatoren werden über die Literatur und Interviews von 10 Leuten, welche Experten sind und in Blockchain Projekte investiert haben, identifiziert werden. Abschliessend werden die Indikatoren kategorisiert in Grundlagen und Softfaktoren, die Liste der Indikatoren ist für den Investor eine Checkliste, die das Projekt erfüllen muss, um vertrauenswürdig zu sein. Es ist auch praktisch für die Blockchain Unternehmer, welche Ihre eigene Blockchain Projekte richtig vorstellen wollen.
