Abstract Text The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the potential impacts, including chances and/or risks, the Brexit vote could have on the investment banking, the asset management and the private banking industries in the United Kingdom (UK), the European Union (EU) and Switzerland. The “exit deal” both parties will achieve, determines the vehemence of the impacts on the different industries in the different regions. A “hard” Brexit would be the worst outcome for the UK’s industries, while producing specific opportunities for them. Based on this particular scenario, the industries in the EU could benefit from the Brexit, while negative impacts might arise. For the case of Switzerland, the country plays a minor role in this “conflict” and could on one hand benefit from the vote, but negative consequences should be considered. Howev-er, a “soft” Brexit would be the most harmless outcome for all parties.
