Abstract Text This thesis analyses interviews with management consulting and real estate brokerage services providers and buyers in Switzerland with respect to their preferences for different pricing models. The goal was to identify the major drivers of the parties' preferences and the influence of situational characteristics and the current market development. The results show that risks and incentives are predominant driver of the preferences for pricing models. Circumstances wich allow one party to have a stronger negotiation position and the intensity of competition may lead parties to diverge from their preferred model. In both industries maturity apearences and competition may generally improve the result for buyers.
